The Home Tutoring Business Manual

The HTB Manual consists of over 200 pages, complete with information on how to set up, maintain and grow your business. Each chapter is packed with valuable information including real life examples of what works and what doesn’t when establishing your own company.

One-On-One Consultation Time (3 hours)

Everyone will have some questions when they begin a new business. We are here to answer them and help you in any way we can. Just email us and request a block of time (minimum increments of fifteen (15) minutes). We are available Monday – Friday, 7:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m., PST. Weekend consultations are available when booked 48 hours in advance. (all consultation hours must be used within six (6) months of purchase)

Logo Design Package

Our Logo Design Package includes five (5) customized logo designs, from which you select the one you prefer.  We allow up to three (3) revisions to the logo before it is sent to you electronically in all of the formats you will need to create your business cards and stationary.

Merchant Account

A reliable merchant account gives you the ability to increase sales.  We set you up with a system that processes credit card transactions via your PC or cell phone. There are no application fees or contracts. After approval from the bankcard company, you pay only the traditional percentages on your clients’ purchases plus a small monthly statement fee.

The HTB Forms & Contracts CD (Word Format)                

This CD includes the Tutor Contract, Client Agreement, tutor interview paperwork and client paperwork for the in-home consultation as well as several other forms to help you stay organized.  Feel free to make as many changes as you deem necessary – or leave them as is and just add your logo and print on your letterhead.

Color Flyers – Starter Set of 300

Use these colorful collateral materials to advertise your new business.  We place your logo and contact information on a professional-grade four color slick flyer and we ship them directly to you. Distribute to schools, pediatricians’ offices and anywhere else that moms and kids frequent.

Tutor Background Check Referral

It is imperative to conduct a thorough background check. The company we use has special discounted rates for all HTB owners.  You simply sign on to the website to which we refer you and pick and choose what type of background check  you want to do.  Includes registered sex offenders, social security check, crimes, felonies and misdemeanor records going back seven years.  You get the results immediately and are able to download, print and keep a copy of the background check in the tutors’ file.
